Deputy King thanked by SCW president

Manama, Feb. 7 (BNA): Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, has received a cable of thanks from Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and Supreme Council for Women (SCW) President, in reply to his congratulatory cable on the Arab Woman Medal conferred on her by the Arab League. HRH Princess Sabeeka expressed deep appreciation to HRH the Crown Prince for his constant support to Bahraini women and the SCW, which, she said, has contributed to attaining honourable and pioneering achievements, and to advancing the kingdom's status in this regard under the Reform Project spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. HRH Princess Sabeeka asserted that the kingdom has made major strides in the process of women's advancement, adding that Bahrain has gone beyond the women empowerment phase and is now proud of transferring its experience to many neighbouring countries. She added that the SCW has become a thank tank in women's affairs, affirming unwavering efforts to integrate women's needs in development and ensure equal opportunities to build a competitive society based on partnership between men and women in enhancing the progress of modern Bahrain.
