Deputy Premier receives Indian minister

Manama, Oct. 24 (BNA): Deputy Premier, HH Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, received here today India's Union Minister of Home Affairs, Shri Rajnath Singh, who is currently on a visit to the kingdom, and discussed with him areas of bilateral cooperation and coordination in various security fields, in light of the agreements signed between the two friendly countries. The deputy premier reviewed with the Indian minister the progress of the Bahraini-Indian friendship relations, and ways to consolidate cooperation mechanisms for the best interest of the two sides. He stressed that the history of the two countries is full milestones that bear witness of the their robust relations and strong cooperation. He affirmed the kingdom's keenness on increasing cooperation with friendly India, given its status as a regional and international power. He highlighted the importance of the visit of the Indian Home Affairs Minister in pushing bilateral cooperation forward, and increasing coordination in combating terrorism and criminality.
