Deputy premier receives IPI director

Manama, Nov. 22 (BNA): Deputy Prime Minister His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa on Tuesday received the International Peace Institute (IPI)'s Director Terry Rod-Larsen and Nejib Friji the Director of the Institute's regional office for the Mideast and North Africa (MENA) region. His Highness praised the Institute's role in spreading the culture of peace and security, curbing hate and wars as well as promoting peaceful co-existence among the civilisations and peoples around the world, lauding the role of the IPI's regional office which is based in the Kingdom of Bahrain in compiling studies concerning the region's issues, finding ideas and visions for the various challenges and fast developments to help boost the security and stability of the region. Terry Rod-Larsen informed the Deputy Premier about the upcoming projects of the IPI regional office, thanking the Kingdom of Bahrain for its efforts in maintaining security and stability and its contribution in spreading peace in the region and the globally.
