Deputy Premier receives IPI Director

Manama, Nov. 22 (BNA): Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa received today Director of the International Peace Institute (IPI) Terje Rod-Larsen. He stressed the government's interest in cooperation with the international institutions given the importance of joint work in achieving people's aspiration for a stable and secure life. He also lauded cooperation between Bahrain and IPI to back the efforts aimed at promoting regional security, stability and peace. The Deputy Premier praised the role of IPI in handling current challenges which affect the peace process in the region. He also discussed with the IPI Director the latest regional and international developments and issues of common interest.
