Deputy Premier receives US Congressman

Manama, Nov. 23 (BNA): Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa received at Gudaibiya Palace today the US Congressman and Chairman of the United States House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Jason Chaffetz, in the presence of US Ambassador to Bahrain William Roebuck. They discussed bilateral relations and ways of bolstering them, results of the US elections and regional issues. The Deputy Premier underscored the key role of the US in promoting regional and international peace, security and stability. The US official expressed happiness about visiting Bahrain, lauding the kingdom's steps to boost its economy and democratic experience.
