Deputy Prime Minister receives Philippines' special envoy

Manama, Dec. 30 (BNA): Deputy Prime Minister His Highness Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa received Special Envoy of the President of the Philippines, Presidential Assistant on Foreign Affairs and Chief of Presidential Protocol Robert Eric Borje, and Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for PHL Department Sarah Lou Arriola. The special envoy conveyed a written letter from President Rodrigo Duterte included his condolences on the passing of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, recalling in the letter the prominent and pivotal role of the deceased in promoting and strengthening Bahraini-Filipino relations in various fields, stressing that the deceased was an exceptional leader who devoted his life to serving his country and humanity. The deputy prime minister expressed his thanks and appreciation to the President for his good feelings by offering condolences, which reflects the distinguished relations between Bahrain and the Philippines. He wished the Philippines further progress and prosperity.
