Deputy Prime Minister receives Saudi Ambassador; stresses depth of bilateral relations

Manama, Oct. 16 (BNA): Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, has affirmed the depth of the long-standing fraternal Bahraini-Saudi relations, which are progressing steadily thanks to the unwavering interest of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud. The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted efforts to deepen integration between the two brotherly countries in various fields in a way that contributes to achieving the common visions of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and those of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia. Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla made the statements while receiving at the Gudaibiya Palace today the Saudi Ambassador to Bahrain, HRH Prince Sultan bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, whom he thanked for the tremendous efforts he is exerting to strengthen bilateral relations towards more cooperation and coordination between the two brotherly countries. The Deputy Premier lauded the progress and urbanization boom currently witnessed by Saudi Arabia across various fields, reflecting the Saudi leadership's ambitions and forward-looking vision capable of investing in the national natural, environmental and cultural components by turning them into major strategic development projects to achieve the Kingdom's 2030 Economic Vision. The two sides also discussed the latest regional and global developments, in addition to issues of common interest. The Saudi Ambassador expressed appreciation to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure for his constant interest in enhancing bilateral relations to achieve the two brotherly countries' leaderships' aspirations in this regard, wishing Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
