Digging operations to be launched within TANAP project this year, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan

Baku, February 7 (AzerTAc). The Turkish and Azerbaijani Parliaments have ratified an agreement on the construction of Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline (TANAP). The digging operations are expected to be launched within this project in 2013. The statement came from Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at a meeting with Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico, TRT Haber TV channel said. TANAP project envisages gas transportation from Shah Deniz field to Europe via Turkey. The initial capacity of the pipeline is expected to reach 16 billion cubic meters per year. Around 6 billion cubic meters will be delivered to Turkey, and the rest - to Europe.
