Discussion of Nursultan Nazarbayev’s lecture
Bishkek, October 17, 2009 (Khabar) - Experts of Kyrgyzstan think that diversification of economics and forming of intellectual elite are the most progressive trends of Kazakhstan’s post-crisis development which were mentioned by Nursultan Nazarbayev during his lecture in Kazakh National University.
Analysts say that the main property of global society in perspective is human resource. Alternative energy sources are the future of humanity. Hydrocarbon sources are not finished yet, but their usage can not be infinite. That is why progressive leaders think what to do not to make future generations feel possible energy crisis. This aspect that was noted by Nazarbayev shows the pragmatism of Kazakh administration.
Mars Sariyev, political scientist:
- I am more than sure that Kazakhstan will enter the list of twenty mosr developed countries. Planned character and methodicalness of Kazakhstani administration’s approach gives confidence that in 10 years Kazakhstan will be one of world’s leaders in intellectual sphere.
One more trend of Kazakhstan’s progressive development is forming of intellectual elite. President said that attitude of youth towards education and intellect should be changed. The gap in educational system is needed. Gaisha Ibragimova, a well known expert of education in Kyrgyzstan thinks that Kazakshtan as a Central Asian leader has all chances to introduce its own system of formation, defining of qualification and level of specialist’s professionalism.
Gaisha Ibragimova, expert of European Union in educational policy:
- The speech of President Nazarbayev is excellent conceptual political document and a task that is given to nation. And it tells how the nation should change, that nation should be intellectual, ready to development, and the educational system should be a tool of this development.
Future of the country depends on intellectual elite. Scientists are those who are going to develop ecological technologies and know-how of global scale. Kyrgyz experts consider that lecture of Nazarbayev has defined needed conditions. But what gives real optimism is that the part of this work has already been done: nowadays science in Kazakhstan gets governmental support.
