Documents on first Iranian school in Istanbul compiled
TEHRAN,May 2(MNA) – Iranian scholar Esfandiar Motamedi has compiled documents, information and regulations of first Iranian school in Istanbul in a book.
“The First Book of Education and the First Regulation of Iranian School in Istanbul” will be released by the Education and Training Research Center in a near future.
The first modern Iranian school was established in Istanbul in 1897 by the pioneer of modern training in Iran Mirza Hassan Roshdieh. Children of Iranian merchants who lived in Istanbul went to that school.
The school had a regulation which included 110 articles. Physician visit for each 15 year was one of the articles.
Haji Mirza Hassan Tabrizi (1851–1944), famously known as Hassan Roshdieh, was an Iranian cleric, teacher, politician, and journalist. He introduced some modern teaching methods in Iran, especially in teaching the alphabet. These are still used to some degree in Iran’s primary schools.
Roshdieh is claimed to be the first Azerbaijani to write poems for children. He also had plans for education of the blind people and had helped establishing girl schools in Iran. He has several books and articles in Persian and Azerbaijani.
The book will be properly available at the upcoming Tehran International Book Fair.
