Doha Forum 2022: Kosovo President Praises Ties with Qatar

Doha, March 27 (QNA) - HE President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani praised the strong bilateral ties between her country and the State of Qatar, noting that she is looking forward to enhancing these relations to higher levels especially in commercial and investment aspects. She also invited the Qatari business community to invest in her Country. This came during her meeting on Sunday, on the sidelines of Doha Forum 2022, with a delegation from Qatar Chamber led by its Chairman HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Thani. The meeting touched on reviewing bilateral relations at commercial and economic fields and means to enhance them, as well as the investment climate and opportunities and the role it can be played by the private sector to develop trade between both sides. Her Excellency invited Qatari businessmen to visit Kosovo and learn about opportunities galore in many sectors, especially in the field of agriculture, as most of the land is arable, in addition to other sectors such as mining, industry, energy and others, pointing out that her country is looking forward to attracting Qatari investors to establish investments that generate jobs for Kosovan citizens. For his part, QC Chairman paid tribute to the good relations between Qatar and Kosovo but noted that commercial ties could still do not reflect them fully. He added that this will require both parties to work together in order to strengthen these relationships. His Excellency called on businessmen from both countries to benefit from such relations and work to enhance their cooperation, especially that there are a wide range of opportunities in both countries in various sectors. HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Thani expressed a strong commitment to advance bilateral relations in many areas, especially in economic and commercial spheres. He stressed that Qatar Chamber strongly supports cooperation between business sectors in both countries, and encourages Qatari companies to cooperate with their counterparts in Kosovo by establishing partnerships, whether in Qatar or Kosovo.
