Doha Forum 2022/ Turkish Presidential Spokesperson: Ankara's Effort to End Ukraine War Will Be Pivotal

Doha, March 27 (QNA) - HE Spokesperson for the Turkish Presidency Dr. Ibrahim Kalin said that the efforts made by Ankara to end the war in Ukraine will be pivotal and essential.
Speaking in a panel session at Doha Forum 2022 titled "Aggression Against Ukraine: Geopolitical Implications for the Middle East", HE Dr. Ibrahim Kalin said that Turkey seeks to achieve balance, and hopes to reach an agreement between Russia and Ukraine to end the war.
He added that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke about the importance of supporting the Ukrainian people in all possible ways to maintain stability, and he also stressed the importance of "talking about the reasons that prompted Russia to launch this war."
For her part, former Representative at the US Congress Jane Harman said that stopping the war in Ukraine currently represents an utmost priority to the US administration.
She expressed the hope to move forward on a new and better world order in the future strategy that includes the countries of the Middle East, Africa and other countries of the world, in which countries coexist in a friendly manner that respects the basic values of human rights, democracy, establishing peace and confronting climate change, and this is the biggest challenge.
HE Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Mohammad Hassan Sheikholeslami said that Tehran has begun negotiating with its neighbors to improve relations with them, and that Iran has a real will to overcome difficulties and work to manage the differences between it and the Gulf states.
The Iranian official stressed the importance of taking comprehensive approaches to crises in the region and the world, saying, "If we want to reach comprehensive and constructive solutions toward regional security, it is necessary to adopt a comprehensive approach based on the regional context."
