Dubai ruler arrives in Bahrain to attend endurance race

Manama, Mar.2 (BNA): UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum arrived in the Kingdom of Bahrain to attend 17th edition of the international endurance race on His Majesty the King’s Cup, sponsored by the Gulf Finance House (GFH). He was received by HM the King’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Council (SCYS) Chairman, Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President and Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) Honorary Chairman His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa welcomed HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum in Bahrain, hailing the participation of the UAE riders in the race. He underlined BREEF preparations to hold one of the most important races in the endurance season in Bahrain, commending the efforts of different committees to ensure the outstanding organization of the sporting event. He lauded strong fraternal relations binding the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates in all fields, welcoming the participation of the Emirati riders in the international race on HM the King’s Cup. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa and HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum attended the vet medical check-ups and met riders, encouraging the, to perform well and compete to claim the top spots. HH Shaikh Nasser said that the multi-phased race offers a real chance for the riders of the Royal team and other local stables to show their strides and competitive edge for this season.
