Education and Training Quality Authority visits GPIC

Manama, Oct. 6 (BNA): Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) President Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery received Chief Executive Officer of the Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA), Dr. Jawahar Shahin Al Mudhaki.
Welcoming the guest, he conveyed to her the greetings of the Chairman and Board of Directors, thanking her for the visit, which would renew cooperation between the two sides.
In his comments, Dr. Jawahery thanked Dr. Al Mudhaki for her interest in cooperating with GPIC and to see the development of its Academy of Leadership and Learning as well as the advanced curricula offered by to its employees and trainees from outside the company.
He spoke of GPIC’s commitment to international standards and praised the authority’s methods as an independent national body that reviews and evaluates educational and training institutions according to their reliability and established foundations and global standards.
He commended Dr. Al-Mudhaki and said her heading the authority was an honorable example of successful Bahraini women leaders.
He spoke of the transparency of results published by the authority on its own website after being approved by the Council of Ministers and said these reviews and results would undoubtedly help the educational and other relevant institutions to develop their performance and adopt a well-thought-out scientific method to manage their affairs.
Dr. Jawahery praised the quality of education and training, established due to the initiative of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, describing it as one of the most important launched by him.
He noted its positive impact on the output of education and training and for providing qualified and highly trained Bahraini work force. He said this would boost confidence in the Bahraini education system and its institutions.
Dr. Al-Mudhaki praised thanked the GPIC Management and its role in transferring its knowledge to other influential companies locally, regionally and internationally.
She appreciated the role Bahrainis in achieving these results, and said GPIC had a high 95 per cent Bahrainisation. She said this would result in the Company’s achieving its national strategies.
GPIC is committed to working closely with various educational and training institutions, including in programmes that are concerned with educating young people and developing their abilities and skills.
GPIC also cooperates with the Crown Prince International Scholarship Programme and the Ministry of Education. Is engineers regularly attend special annual programmes, including environmental awareness lectures.
