Education Minister receives King Hamad Prize jury Head

Manama, Mar. 11 (BNA): Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi received Head of the international jury of the UNESCO King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Prize for the Use of Information and Communication Technologies in Education Professor Daniel Burgos. He thanked him for the jury’s efforts, stressing that the prize represents a kind initiative by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, who patronises it annually, to back UNESCO’s efforts in promoting education for all and support distinguished international educational experiences. Prof. Burgos hailed the royal initiative, praising the award and its positive results since its inception. He also pointed out large participation in it to top 300 in its eighth session of which the jury chose 102 initiatives that met set up conditions. The meeting was attended by President of the University of Bahrain (UoB) Dr. Riyadh Hamza, who is Bahrain’s representative in the jury, and Organisations and Committees Affairs Director Kefaya Al Anzoor.
