Egyptian President lauds HM King's efforts to promote, solidarity, pan-Arab work

Cairo, June 2 (BNA): Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, praised the sincere efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to boost Arab solidarity and promote pan-Arab work so as to deter threats and foster regional security and stability.
The Egyptian President conveyed his greetings to HM the King as he received today Arab Parliament Speaker, Adel Abdulrahman Al-Asoumi, in the presence of Speaker of Egypt’s House of Representatives, Dr. Hanafi Jebali, and Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry.
During the meeting, President Al-Sisi was granted the “Leader Medal”, the highest decoration bestowed by the Arab Parliament on Their Majesties and Excellencies kings and Heads of States in tribute for their great services to the Arab nation.
The medal was conferred on the Egyptian President in tribute for his tireless efforts, which are reflected in Egypt’s conscious and discreet policies in serving Arab issues, including reaching a ceasefire agreement recently between the Palestinians and Israelis which spared Gaza Strip more material and human losses. The medal was also a tribute for President Al-Sisi’s efforts in fast-tracking development in Egypt which yielded many accomplishments that covered all aspects of life.
President Al-Sisi thanked the Arab Parliament for the high profile medal, praising its support to Egypt in preserving its national security. He also commended the parliament’s efforts as a platform for dialogue and democracy and as a popular driving force for pan-Arab work to serve the supreme interests of the Arab nation. He stressed Egypt’s support to the Arab Parliament to achieve its goals and serve Arab issues.
The Arab Parliament Speaker expressed honor in meeting the Egyptian President, commending Egypt’s role in protecting the Arab national security and promoting pan-Arab work. He praised Egypt’s pioneering parliamentary experience and its hosting of the Arab Parliament’s temporary meeting headquarters.
The meeting cast light on future vision to promote the role of the Arab Parliament, particularly through its Arab Observatory for Human Rights. The Egyptian President underlined the key role of the observatory in shaping an Arab vision regarding human rights issues. He stressed that protecting the Arab national security is essential in protecting human rights and maintaining unity of the nations.
