Ehsan Organizes Workshop on Dementia in Cooperation with HMC

Doha, September 01 (QNA) - The Center of Empowerment and Elderly Care (Ehsan), affiliated to the Qatar Social Work Foundation, organized a workshop for its employees in cooperation with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) titled "Let's Talk about Dementia". The workshop was held on the occasion of the World Alzheimer's Day, with the participation of the Center's employees and a number of consultant doctors. The workshop aimed at educating those dealing with the elderly and providing them with the necessary information through which they can provide assistance to the elderly who show early signs of Alzheimer's, and informing them of the steps to be taken if they deal with elderly people infected with Alzheimer's disease. The World Alzheimer's Day falls on September 21 of each year. This year marks the 10th year of this vital global awareness raising campaign. "Know Alzheimer's... Know Dementia" is the theme of this years campaign. (QNA)
