Elderly Committee celebrates Bahrain's national days

Manama, (BNA): The National Elderly Committee held a ceremony as part of as part of festivities marking the Kingdom of Bahrain's national celebrations on 16 and 17 December, in commemoration of the establishment of the modern Bahraini state as an Arab and Muslim country founded by Ahmed Al-Fateh in 1783, the 47th anniversary of its full membership in the United Nations, and the 19th anniversary of His Majesty's accession to the throne. Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, patronized the celebration, which was at the National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) Elderly Home in Isa Town. The Ministry of Labour and Social Development held the event in cooperation with the National Elderly Committee and the Daycare clubs. The minister stressed the importance of celebrating national days which, he said, reflects allegiance to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa and the Government of Bahrain.
