Electricity minister honours academy winners

Manama, Apr. 3 (BNA): Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza honoured members of the International Academy of Productivity during a ceremony at the Gulf Hotel. The honouring took place during the 18th World Productivity Conference held in Bahrain under the theme, ‘New ways of innovation and productivity’. The event was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and organized by Bahrain Society for Training and Development and Jafcon Consultancy. The minister presented certificates of appreciation and medals to academy members in the presence of Jafcon Consulting Chief Executive Officer Dr. Akbar Jafari and Academy President Dr. Thomas Talt. The academy membership is given to individuals who have made contributions to improving productivity. This year, Dr. Jassim Haji and Dr. Mohammed Buhaji of Bahrain; Dr. Ahmed Nusseirat of the United Arab Emirates and a number of eminent personalities from India and China were inducted. This is the first time the membership of this academy has been extended to individuals in Bahrain.
