Electricity Minister receives Bahraini inventor

Manama, June 2 (BNA): Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak received the Bahraini gold medal winner in the Malaysian International Invention, Innovation and Technology Exhibition (ITEX) Ibrahim Al Mutawa, who invented an automatic solar panel cleaning system. The minister stressed the significance of the achievement in renewable energy and sustainable development, and its role in serving current and future generations. Al Mutawa won the bronze medal in the Seoul International Invention Fair in the South Korean capital, virtually, for his invention in 2020. He said that the idea of the device is based on a system for cleaning solar panels, and works by means of artificial intelligence (AI), in which the percentage of humidity, dust, and sunlight on the solar panels is read.
