Electricity minister receives British corporate delegation

Manama, Jan.25 (BNA): Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza received a delegation from British company Watership Down International, led by its Chief Operating Officer Barrington Ward.
GRS Middle East Managing Director Rob Cable; British Bahraini Business Forum Deputy Chairperson Paula Boast and a representative of the British Embassy in Bahrain Yara Tawfiq accompanied him.
The minister was briefed on the activities of the company in the water sector and projects it has implemented to convert waste into energy. Dr. Mirza said the ministry welcomes cooperation with British companies supports opening up prospects for investment at the local, regional and global levels in the development of the electricity and water services and in the field of alternative energy, to keep pace with the significant growth in demand and to meet future needs.
The guests thanked the minister and officials for the warm reception and hospitality and affirmed that British companies would provide constructive cooperation to promote the 200-year old British Bahraini relations.
Electricity and Water Authority executive vice president of planning and projects Ibrahim Abdallah Kaabi and Advisor to the Minister on technical and engineering affairs Dr. Ahmed Hashim, were also present.
