Electricity minister welcomes solar energy investments

Manama, Dec. 6 (BNA): Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza, received officials from solar energy company Abenoga, led by its Saudi Arabia branch general manager Hisham Faisal Hejailan. The company officials introduced their projects and activities in the field of solar energy and their desire to take part in projects in Bahrain. The minister welcomed the delegation and praised their projects in sustainable energy, including investment in renewable energy. Dr. Mirza said Bahrain’s Sustainable Development Unit is very interested in using modern technology in the field of solar energy in its plans and programmes of the future. The visiting delegation thanked the minister and other officials for the warm reception and the hospitality and for opening prospects for cooperation with companies operating in the solar energy fields.
