Empowering people technologically is priority, BNA acting director general says

Sharjah, Mar. 21 (BNA): Bahrain News Agency (BNA) Acting Director General Abdulla Buhejji said that the Sharjah International Government Communication Forum (IGCF) is an exceptional event that aims to take young people to the highest levels of media possibilities and to empower societies technologically. The eighth edition of the IGCF is taking place on March 20-21, under the theme ‘Behavioural Change Towards Human Development’. Buhejji pointed out that enhancing the role of government communication focuses mainly on empowering and supporting people and stimulating their potential and improving their capabilities to be able to meet challenges, regardless of their magnitude, and fulfill the requirements of modern processes, no matter how daunting they may initially look. "Such a preparation constitutes a qualitative leap for the government communication teams across the world. We need open mindsets to be able to move forward with confidence. The forum will certainly contribute to the advancement of creative technology in the area of information," he said. "The organisers of the forum have obviously planned workshops that will contribute to reaching higher standards in the area of media and technology. We are grateful to His Highness Dr. Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and the Sharjah Press Club for their outstanding efforts to make the events in Sharjah more successful and to highlight the Arab and international status of the United Arab Emirates."
