Envoy: Hamedan Should Turn Into Iranˈs Tourist Destination

Hamedan, Jan 26, IRNA – Ambassador of Ivory Coast to Tehran said that Hamedan province should turn into a new and important tourist destination for Iranian and international tourists. On the sidelines of the 6th Hamedan Winter Festival, Abdullah Cisses told IRNA on Friday afternoon that the province, by having hundreds historical sites and tourism attractions is among one of the most important places in Iran, but the officials should plan for developing tourism industry. He added that the provincial officials should try hard to attract tourists and, by holding many festivals, turn the province into a tourist destination. The ambassador continued that Hamedan, with its many historical sites, reminds ancient golden civilization of this land. He appreciated organizers work for holding the festival, adding that he will introduce Hamedan tourism potential capacities to his own fellow-countrymen. The 6th Hamedan Winter Festival started its work on January 24 and continues until January 28, 2013./end
