EWA-Tamkeen cooperation discussed

Manama, Oct. 9 (BNA): Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza received a delegation from Tamkeen headed by its Chief Executive Ibrahim Janahi. The two sides discussed areas of cooperation in renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. The minister pointed out that clean energy is a matter of great concern to the leadership and the government because of its impact in achieving comprehensive development in Bahrain. He said this was the reason they looked at the Sustainable Energy Unit to cooperate with official bodies to achieve national goals in renewable energy and energy efficiency. He thanked Tamkeen for its support in developing Bahrain’s labour market and for its continued cooperation and for sustainable energy projects. Dr. Janahi said that are keen to continue the process of joint work and further contribute to Bahrain’s economic development. He thanked the minister and officials for their efforts in the fields of electricity and water.
