Facilitation stressed for F1 visitors

Manama, Apr. 5 (BNA): Assistant Undersecretary of Ports, Search and Follow Up at the Nationality, Passport and Residence Affairs (NPRA), Brigadier Abdulrahman Saleh Al Sinan, today asserted that the passport departments at ports were ready to received the visitors of the Bahrain Grand Prix (Formula 1).
He said that the readiness of manpower and technology had been ensured to meet the expected increase in the number of arrivers to the Kingdom and the rush at ports that started from the beginning of this week, representing an increase by 62.85% at all ports compared with the same period last week. Of total King Fahad Causeway represented 76.84% of the increase, especially because of the mid academic year break in Saudi Arabia.
He said that the NPRA was dedicated to take the required steps to ensure smooth traffic of travelers during the race, including the issuing of F1 visas, that are issued in with many privileges, including two week stay and could be obtained on-arrival for 67 countries and online for 114 countries in accordance to applied rules. He hailed the efforts of the passport employees at all ports to facilitating paperwork and other tasks.
