FAO helps Laos develop monitoring system

VIENTIANE,03.06.2012 (KPL) - The Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) has granted US$397,530 for the Monitoring System Development Project of Lao Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. The signing ceremony of grant aid was taken place at Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, on 2 March between Deputy Director of Planning Department, Mr. Savanh Hanephom and Country Representative of FAO to Laos, Mrs. Ta Ta in the witnesses of officials concerned. This project has been designed at contributing to the national economic development to be more efficiency and improvement of foodstuff security, poverty reduction, livelihood of people ethnic groups in rural areas, management of forests and natural resources. This project will initiate on January 2012 until December 2013.
