Female Orangutang born at Lop Buri Zoo

LOP BURI, Dec 10 (TNA) -- The Lop Buri Zoo has invited the public to give a name to the new female Orangutang which was born recently. Col Komdej Kanchanahotitas, director of Lop Buri Zoo, said his zoo is happy to welcome the new female Orangutang which was born by her mother ‘Joy’ and father ‘Kala’, both given to the zoo by the Royal Forest Department in October this year. Presently, zoo officials have brought both the new born Orangutang and her mother to stay together in a newly decorated and colourful cage. Col Komdej said the selected name will be announced on the national Children’s Day, normally falls on the first Saturday of January every year. The prize is still unknown but, according to Col Komdej, the recipient will be more than happy to receive. (TNA)
