The fight against extremism stressed

Manama, Dec. 10 (BNA): Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa stressed the crucial importance of the fight against extremism. Addressing the 12th Manama Dialogue, he noted the decline in the incidence of crime, crediting police readiness and Government educational and media programmes targeting youth. He stressed Bahrain’s success in turning the page of a difficult period, restoring security and stability, adding that the youth have understood the truth, except a small minority which is still adamant on resorting to violence. Lt-Gen. Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa stressed the importance of the Arab Gulf 1 security drill, which was recently held in Bahrain, adding that more than 20 GCC security taskforce or committees have been established.
