Fighting drugs trafficking in Central Asia

Astana, September 17, 2009 (Khabar) - Regional center on fighting drugs trafficking begins functioning in Kazakhstan. Minister of Interior Affairs Serik Baimaganbetov and director of Central Asian regional informational coordination center on fighting drugs business have signed agreement about Center staying in Almaty. The document supposes creating of judicial basis and work of center, defines its status and regulates relations with state structures. The Minister of Interior Affairs and head of Center have exchanged their opinions on counteraction to drugs crimes in Central Asia and defined the measures on further development of center that must coordinate regional attempts in fighting drugs trafficking.
