Finance Minister meets with senior officials

Manama, June 26 (BNA): The Minister of Finance and National Economy, His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, today met the Minister of Finance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan; the Minister of State for Financial Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, His Excellency Obaid bin Humaid Al Tayer; the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Poland, His Excellency Marian Banaś; the Director General and Chairman of the Board of the Arab Monetary Fund, Dr. Abdulrahman A. Al Hamidy; the Governor of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, His Excellency Yasir Al-Rumayyan; the Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury of the United Kingdom, Robert Jenrick MP, the Deputy of the Minister of Finance for Fiscal Policies of the Arab Republic of Egypt, His Excellency Ahmed Ashraf Ali Kouchouk, and the Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, His Excellency Dr. Abdelhakim Shibli, on the side-lines of the Peace to Prosperity Workshop - hosted in partnership with the United States. HE Shaikh Salman welcomed the officials’ visit to the Kingdom and their participation in the Peace to Prosperity Workshop. During the meetings, HE Shaikh Salman discussed ways to further advance economic ties with regional and international partners, across all levels.He stressed the important role regional and international cooperation can play in facilitating wider opportunities for the region and its people.
