Finance Minister meets UN official

Manama, Feb. 17(BNA): Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa stressed Bahrain’s resolve to continue work to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through viable programmes and initiatives. He said that strenuous would continue to devlop all sectors, create investment opportunities and boost the march of national development, whose foundations were laid by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa. This came as he received he UN Under-Secretary General and Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for West Asia (ESCWA) Dr. Rola Dashti. The two sides discussed economic issues and ways of bolstering cooperation with all UN agencies which would contribute to attaining the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Dr. Rola Dashti expressed her appreciation for the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain in continuing to work to ensure success in achieving the sustainable development goals.
