Finance Minister receives DCO Regional Director

Manama, Oct. 25 (BNA): Minister of Finance and National Economy, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, affirmed Bahrain’s keenness to boost cooperation with the United Nations and its regional agencies to boost economic development in the kingdom. He praised the outstanding role of the UN to promote sustainable growth all over the world. He was speaking as he received today Regional Director of the UN Development Coordination Office (DCO) for the Arab States, Laila Bakr. He commended DCO’s efforts in supporting the organisation’s development efforts. Both sides reviewed active partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UN and ways of promoting it to achieve the desired goals.
