Finance Minister receives US Secretary of Treasury

Manama, Oct. 18 (BNA): Minister of Finance and National Economy Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa praised distinguished strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the USA and growing cooperation at all levels. He stressed the importance to continue boosting bilateral relations to achieve the aspirations of the two friendly countries and peoples. The Minister of Finance and National Economy was speaking as he received today the US Secretary of Treasury Steven Mnuchin and his accompanying delegation. He pointed out keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain to bolster cooperation with the USA by building on previous achievements. The Minister of Finance and National Economy welcomed the US Secretary of Treasury and his accompanying delegation and reviewed relations of friendship between both countries and their perpetual growth in all fields. He also discussed ways of bolstering bilateral relations mainly in the financial and economic fields. The US Secretary of Treasury expressed thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Finance and National Economy, stressing his country’s keenness on promoting cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain and lauding the kingdom’s economic role in the region.
