Finance Ministry Undersecretary chairs Bahrain's delegation to GCC meeting

Riyadh, Sept. 26 (BNA): The Ministry of Finance and National Economy Undersecretary for Financial Affairs, Yousef Abdullah Humood, led Bahrain’s delegation to the 66th meeting of the GCC Finance Ministries Undersecretaries, in preparation for the 117th meeting of the Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee. The preparatory meeting convened today at the Secretariat General headquarters in Riyadh, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with the participation of the GCC Assistant Secretary General for Economic and Development Affairs and the Finance Ministries Undersecretaries in the member states. The meeting spotlighted means of boosting joint cooperation and reviewed a number of resolutions pertaining to the financial economic field. It also discussed the recommendations concerning the G20 initiatives and other issues on the meeting’s agenda. The meeting also reviewed the latest developments of the agreement on the system of linking payments between the GCC countries and the programme for achieving economic unity between the GCC member states by 2025. The meeting also shed light on the studies and projects being followed on by the Office of Economic and Development Affairs.
