Fire at the Atyrau refinery is liquidated
Atyrau, January 14, 2010 (Khabar) - One of workshops of the Atyrau refinery got inflamed. There are no casualties. Emergency occurred at the delayed coking unit. There was a depressurization of a pipeline because of unexplained reasons. Oil products went out of a hole under the pressure and it inflamed. All the people who worked in the workshop, were quickly evacuated to a safe place. 112 specialists extinguished the fire and involved 8 emergency vehicles. The fire was raging at an altitude of 22 meters. It was localized and completely extinguished within one hour.

- Plant still works in the normal technological regime. All other processing plants work properly. The products are manufactured and 3-4 days are needed for the restoration of the plant.
