Flying Turtle to introduce best children’s books

TEHRAN,July 9 (MNA) -- A collection of best children’s books in Iran is scheduled to be announced in a catalogue entitled the Flying Turtle List, which will be unveiled during a ceremony at Tehran’s Book City on July 18. Fifty authors, translators and book illustrators of the selected books for the Flying Turtle List will be invited to the ceremony. The catalogue has been prepared by the Journal of Literature for Children and Young Adults, and Tehran’s Book City. A selection of the books that have been published in since autumn 2009 has been listed in catalogue, Journal of Literature for Children and Young Adults Managing Director Mehdi Hajvani said in a press release on Sunday. Authors and illustrators will meet with children during the ceremony and recite their works for the readers, Book City Director Mojgan Raeisi Amjad said. The names of authors, translators and illustrators invited to the ceremony will be announced in the near future.
