Foreign Minister and Egyptian counterpart hold press conference

Manama, Jun 29 (BNA): Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, and his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry, held a press conference today on the occasion of the official visit of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to the Kingdom of Bahrain. Dr. Al-Zayani said that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and President El-Sisi, in the presence of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, held a session of constructive and fruitful discussions. He noted that the discussions focused on fraternal relations binding the two brotherly countries, joint investments, trade exchanges, regional and international developments of common interest, the Renaissance Dam, the situations in Libya and Yemen, combating terrorism, the upcoming Arab Summit with US President, Iran interference in internal affairs of Arab countries, and the situation in Ukraine. The Egyptian minister stressed the depth of brotherly relations between the two countries, lauding the fruitful discussions of His Majesty the King and President El-Sisi, highlighting the MoUs and cooperation programmes that were signed during the session. He ended his statement by extending his deep thanks and gratitude to Bahrain for the warm reception and hospitality, wishing the Kingdom further development.
