Foreign Minister attends meeting

Washington, Mar.22 (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, took part in the meeting of the international coalition to fight the terrorist organization Daesh held in the US Department of State in Washington.
He noted that the meeting was an opportunity to reassess the efforts exerted to combat this terrorist organization and the progress made by the coalition in fighting terrorism at various fronts as well as rearrange priorities in line with developments to ensure the rapid elimination of this organization.
Shaikh Khalid affirmed the necessity of the universality of the war on terror both in terms of the countries that must participate and contribute in this war or in terms of the terrorist organizations that must be eliminated in the context of this war, so as not to exclude other extremist and terrorist organizations.
This is in addition to for mechanisms of confrontation not to be limited to military and field efforts, but also to the intellectual, financial, political and social aspects, so that other organizations do not arise under other names and in different ways that are more dangerous than Daesh.
The minister stressed the commitment of the Kingdom of Bahrain to supporting the international coalition to fight the Daesh organization and to cooperate with all regional and international efforts aimed at combating terrorism as well as supporting the efforts of the Iraqi government.
He called for continued cooperation and communication with Iraq during the next phase to ensure success in this war, reconstruct the infrastructure of the affected Iraqi cities due to terrorism and those liberated from the grips of Daesh and provide humanitarian support to Iraqi children.
