Foreign Minister extends condolences on demise of former Indian counterpart

Manama, Aug. 8 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, extended the sincere condolences of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, to the friendly government and people of the Republic of India, on the demise of the former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. This came during the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs to the Embassy of India in the Kingdom of Bahrain to offer his condolences. The Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his deepest condolences to the family of the deceased and to the people of the Republic of India, recalling her contributions to enhancing the Kingdom’s historical relations with the Republic of India on various levels, as well as her honourable stances towards regional and international issues, which contributed to the enhancement of the relations bewteen the two friendly countries.
