Foreign Minister holds call with Israeli counterpart

Manama, Jan.2 (BNA): Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani held a phone call with the Foreign Minister of the State of Israel Eli Cohen. He congratulated his Israeli counterpart on his appointment as foreign minister in the new Israeli Cabinet, wishing him success in his new post. Dr. Al Zayani looked forward to developing joint cooperation and furthering bilateral relations across all fields to serve common interests, within the framework of the Peace Declaration and the Abraham Accords. The Israeli Foreign Minister expressed thanks and gratitude to Dr. Al Zayani and commended steadily-growing joint cooperation across all fields, stressing the importance of continued joint coordination to serve common interests. The two sides reviewed bilateral relations, stressing the importance of further enhancing joint ties. Regional political developments and issues of common interests were also discussed.
