Foreign Minister holds call with US Special Envoy for Iran

Manama, Feb. 12 (BNA): A phone call took place today between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, and the US Special Envoy for Iran, Robert Malley, during which they discussed close historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the USA, regional developments and issues of common interest. Both sides underlined the importance of boosting partnership and cooperation between both countries, reducing regional tensions and promoting security, stability and prosperity. The Minister of Foreign Affairs congratulated Robert Malley on assuming the mission of the US Special Envoy for Iran, wishing him success in his new diplomatic duties.
