Foreign Minister holds meeting with British Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development

London, Dec. 20 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, held in London today an official session of talks with the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development of the United Kingdom, Elizabeth Truss. Secretary Truss praised strong relations between the two friendly countries, hailing the development of bilateral cooperation in various fields. For his part, Dr. Al-Zayani congratulated Secretary Truss on her appointment, wishing her success in carrying out her duties. He highlighted the British efforts to promote peace and peaceful coexistence in the Middle East, noting the UK’s support to the Abraham Accords. He also affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain's keenness to further strengthen joint cooperation with the United Kingdom in various political, security and economic fields. The session of talks was attended by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom, Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and the delegation accompanying the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
