Foreign Minister holds meeting with heads of diplomatic missions, ministry employees

Manama, Oct. 27 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, held a virtual regular meeting with the heads of diplomatic missions abroad and employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the presence of the Undersecretary for Political Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa. During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his utmost gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, for their support to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to achieve the foreign policy of the Kingdom of Bahrain and promote its position in the international arena. He also lauded the efforts of Bahrain in addressing the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which reflected on the decrease in the number of infections, thanks to the wise directives of His Majesty the King, the support of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the efforts of Team Bahrain and the awareness of Bahraini citizens. He underlined the importance of adhering to all preventive measures adopted to protect the health and safety of everyone. The Foreign Minister expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to outgoing ambassadors of Bahrain for their efforts in promoting relations between the kingdom and brotherly and friendly countries. He wished them further success, commending the efforts of the competent committees at the ministry and their complementary diplomatic and administrative work. Dr. Al-Zayani also indicated keenness of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to develop and support the employees of the ministry, in general, and the diplomatic cadre, through continuous training and development. He hailed the employees’ interest to promote team spirit and their eagerness to volunteer to perform some duties and responsibilities in order to achieve the vision and strategy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and uphold the status of the Kingdom of Bahrain in various international forums.
