Foreign Minister meets British former Premier

Manama, Oct. 12 (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, met today Former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Tony Blair, who is on a visit to Bahrain. Shaikh Khalid praised Mr Blair’s efforts to bolster peace in the Middle East, wishing him further success. Blair praised the role of Bahrain in achieving security and stability in the region, wishing the Kingdom further progress and prosperity. They exchanged views on issues in the region and means to boost regional and international efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution, resolutions of international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative, to ensure a new phase of stability, development and prosperity in the Middle East.
