Foreign Minister meets Egyptian counterpart

Cairo, Mar. 3 (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani met today at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cairo with his brother, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, Sameh Shoukry. During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the solid brotherly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arab Republic of Egypt under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and President Abdul Fattah el-Sisi and their keenness on enhancing joint cooperation in various fields. He expressed his pride in the relations between the countries, which are developing at all levels. The Minister of Foreign Affairs hailed the tireless efforts exerted by the Arab Republic of Egypt in maintaining Arab national security and serving Arab and Islamic issues, as well as its continuous effort to combat terrorism and promote security and stability. He also noted the progress of Egypt’s development process, wishing Egypt further progress and prosperity. For his part, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry expressed his pride in having met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, congratulating him on the royal trust bestowed upon him through his appointment to his post. He also noted the brotherly relations between the two countries, reflecting Egypt’s aspiration to enhance bilateral cooperation with the Kingdom at all levels, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity. The meeting saw the attendance of the Ambassador-Designate of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Hesham bin Mohammed Al Jowder, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Regional & GCC Affairs, Waheed Mubarak Sayyar, the Minister’s accompanying delegation, as well as senior officials from the Egyptian Foreign Ministry.
