Foreign Minister meets with French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs

Paris, Aug. 29 (BNA): As part of the official visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to France, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, met in Paris today with the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Catherine Colonna. The minister congratulated Catherine Colonna on assuming her duties, underscoring the importance of His Majesty’s visit to France and his meeting with President Emmanuel Macron to further enhance bilateral relations and partnership. The French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs noted that His Majesty’s visit reflects the mutual desire of both countries to enhance cooperation. She underlined growing cooperation between the two countries and stressed France’s keenness to enhance relations with Bahrain. She also affirmed the importance of holding the Joint Bahraini-French Committee in Paris this year. The meeting also spotlighted means of enhancing further cooperation, reviewed the progress of memoranda and agreements signed between the two sides, and addressed issues of common interests at the regional and international levels.
