Foreign Minister meets GCC Secretary General

Manama, Oct. 31 (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, received today the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani within the framework of preparation for the next meeting of their Majesties and Highnesses the GCC leaders, which will be held in Bahrain in December. The Minister praised the role of the GCC General Secretariat in constantly promoting the GCC joint action and strengthening its mechanisms to achieve the aspirations of the GCC citizens towards further progress and prosperity. Shaikh Khalid praised the tangible efforts being exerted by the GCC Secretary General at regional and international levels and at various forums to promote the GCC interests. Dr. Al Zayani appreciated the Minister’s support for all the efforts and initiatives aiming to promote the achievements and various aspects of cooperation between the GCC countries.
