Foreign Minister meets Kyrgyz counterpart

Manama, June 21 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, met here today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Zheenbek Kulubaev Moldokanovich, and his accompanying delegation on the occasion of his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, expressing his congratulations to him on assuming his new duties, and wishing him and his country further success and prosperity.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to strengthen its relations with the Kyrgyz Republic through the exchange of official visits and support for dialogue and political consultation between the two sides, which would enhance joint cooperation and exchange of experiences in various political, economic, social and cultural fields, benefiting both countries.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Kingdom of Bahrain for the warm reception and hospitality, and for its keenness to enhance and develop bilateral cooperation between the two countries, and joint coordination on regional and international issues.
He also praised the pivotal role of the Kingdom of Bahrain as President of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue, hailing its efforts to promote security and stability, as well as regional and global peace, wishing the Kingdom and its friendly people continued progress and development.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the relations of cooperation and close friendship between the two countries, in addition to ways to develop bilateral cooperation to serve the common interests of the two friendly countries. They also discussed regional and international developments and issues of mutual concern.
On this occasion, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan signed an agreement between the governments of the two countries on exempting holders of diplomatic, service and special passports from visa requirements, and a memorandum of understanding on political consultation between the two countries' foreign ministries.
