Foreign Minister meets OIC Secretary-General

New York, Sept. 24 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, met today, at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations in New York, the Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), His Excellency Dr. Yousef bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen on the sidelines of the 76th session to the United Nations General Assembly. During the meeting, both sides reviewed ways to enhance joint cooperation and coordination between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation within the framework of joint Islamic action and serving the causes of the Islamic nation. The meeting was attended by the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations in New York, His Excellency Ambassador Jamal Faris Al Rowaiei, the Acting Head of the Organizations Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Her Excellency Ambassador Shaikha Aisha bint Ahmed Al Khalifa, and the delegation accompanying the Foreign Minister.
